Police shouldn’t use powers ‘inappropriately’ against blocked grandparents, says Lord Blunkett

Lord Blunkett has warned against the police using their powers “inappropriately”, as grandparents reveal their heartache at not being able to see their grandchildren. Loraine is reffered to as “Sally” in the article. Read the full article here.

On Tuesday 30th January, Loraine went to London to raise awareness of our campaign. The Quilt of Love and Hope (pictured) was on display for 3 days in Westminster Hall and several MPs visited. Those showing a keen interest are our own local MP, Ian Levy (pictured far right); also Matthew Offord who is MP for Hendon. Pictured here with the Quilt are Loraine and Jasvinder Sanghera CBE (now a DBE. Jasvinder was made a Dame in 2024 for her work with Honour-Based Abuse and founder of Karma Nirvana). Jas is a British author and is now campaigning with us for the rights of grandchildren to see their grandparents.
